Colleen enjoys teaching music fundamentals, technique and advanced literature in an enthusiastic way that excites students and motivates them to be the best musicians they can be.

About Colleen
 
Colleen is an award winning musician and a local graduate of Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach. Colleen was awarded the Excellence in Performance Scholarship to attend the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music where she performed in the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, as well as in chamber ensembles and Pacific Flute Choir. She also plays trumpet and performed with the University Concert Band, marched and toured nationally with the Sacramento Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps, and continued at Mandarins through 2008 as a brass instructor.

Colleen also performed as an actor, dancer, and playwright for the Pacific theatre arts department, earning an Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship Nomination, the William Wolak Playwriting Award, and spent the summer of 2007 at the Kennedy Center Summer Playwriting Intensive in Washington, D.C. Colleen holds a B.A in Theatre Arts from University of the Pacific, an MFA in Screenwriting from National University, and loves teaching music. Read more about Colleen's life in the arts here!
